About the Coalition
The Southeast Asia Recycling Coalition is an industry association of leading FMCG companies and investors working together to tackle packaging waste and recycling challenges across Southeast Asia.
Through dialogue, evidence-based inputs, and regional cooperation, the Coalition supports the development of effective and implementable recycling and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks, strengthening recycling systems and advancing a more circular packaging economy across the region.

Developed by Vriens & Partners for the Southeast Asia Recycling Coalition, this policy recommendation paper, titled Strengthening Indonesia’s Waste Management Roadmap, outlines practical steps to reinforce Indonesia’s waste reduction framework and support the effective rollout of Extended Producer Responsibility for packaging. The paper is intended to inform policymakers, industry, and waste management stakeholders as Indonesia reviews and strengthens its national approach to producer-led waste reduction.
